Raiders Improve to 13-0 After Defeating Columbia State

PANAMA CITY, Florida – On Friday, Northwest Florida State women's basketball extended their unbeaten streak to 13-0 by dominating Columbia State with a final score of 67-28. The Raiders showcased an impressive offensive display, led by four standout performances in double-digit scoring from Destiney McPhaul (12), Jaela Davis (11), Deborah Davenport (11), and Mekhia Chase (10).

For McPhaul, this achievement marks her 11th double-digit scoring performance of the season, with only two games falling short of this remarkable feat. Davenport and Chase contributed their fifth double-digit tallies, while Davis secured her fourth.

The Raiders demonstrated defensive prowess by limiting the Chargers to no more than eight points in each quarter. Conversely, they had a commendable shooting night, boasting a 44.1% overall percentage, a 30.8% success rate from three, and an impressive 91.1% clip from the charity stripe – the team's best free throw performance this season.

In terms of rebounds, NWF claimed 26 in total, with Deborah Davenport leading the charge by securing seven boards. Davenport also showcased defensive dominance with three of the Raiders' five blocks in the game, marking her fourth multi-block performance of the season.

This win marks the 17th straight victory for NWF, dating back to last season, as the Raiders continue to push the needle on what has been a perfect first half to the season for the number-one team in the nation.
