Scott, Chase, Davenport Earn NJCAA All-America Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Wednesday afternoon, the NJCAA announced its 2025 Women's Basketball All-America teams, highlighting 30 of the nation's top student-athletes for their outstanding performances during the 2024-25 season. Northwest Florida State was well-represented, landing three players on the prestigious list: Nevaeh Scott (First Team), Mekhia Chase (Second Team), and Deborah Davenport (Third Team).

A Memphis native, Scott capped off an exceptional sophomore campaign averaging 12.5 points per game while shooting 47.0% from the field and 45.0% from beyond the arc. She was instrumental in the Raiders' national title run, averaging 24.5 points across four tournament games in Casper, Wyo., including a 25-point effort in the championship game. Scott was named the NJCAA Tournament Most Valuable Player and also earned All-Conference First Team, All-FCSAA, and All-FCSAA Tournament honors.

Chase led the Raiders in scoring with 13.0 points per game, shooting an efficient 53.0% from the field. She added 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. During the national tournament, she posted 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest, highlighted by a 22-point performance in the Elite Eight against Three Rivers. Her postseason accolades include NJCAA All-Tournament Team, All-Conference First Team, All-FCSAA, and All-FCSAA Tournament honors.

Davenport rounded out her sophomore season with a strong presence in the paint, averaging 9.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game. She elevated her game during the national tournament, pulling down 13.3 rebounds per contest and recording 19 boards in the second-round win over Wallace State, along with eight total blocks throughout the tournament. Her season accolades include All-Panhandle Conference First Team, All-FCSAA Team, All-FCSAA Tournament Team, and NJCAA All-Tournament honors.
