NICEVILLE, Fla. – Two unbeaten teams are set to face off on Tuesday afternoon in Summit, Miss., as No. 2 Northwest Florida State takes on (RV) Southwest Mississippi in a midweek showdown before both squads head into the holiday break.
The Raiders are coming off a dominant road win in Georgia this past weekend, defeating Central Georgia Tech 64-33. Nevaeh Scott and Deborah Davenport led the way with 13 points each, while Kyla McBride controlled the boards with eight rebounds.
The Bears enter the matchup with a perfect 10-0 record, most recently defeating Delgado 69-44. They are an impressive 7-0 at home this season and will aim for a statement victory against a tough Northwest Florida team.
A win for the Raiders would extend their record to 14-0, providing a strong boost of momentum heading into the break. Northwest Florida will return to action on December 30 for a home game before heading into 2025. The team is set for two more non-conference road games before beginning Panhandle Conference play at home on January 11 against Tallahassee.

- Northwest Florida State women's basketball is off to a blazing 13-0 start to their season, coming in at #2 in the NJCAA National Poll, just behind defending National Champion Hutchinson.
- Deborah Davenport continued to be a force offensively and defensively. The third year Raider is averaging 10.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.8 blocks per game. She ranks 37th in the nation for total rebounds (111) and 11th in blocks (23).
- Neveah Scott has been a sharpshooter from three-point range this season, connecting on 52.6% of her attempts, placing her 8th nationally.
- Freshman guard Kamyrn Corporan has been a defensive force, averaging 2.7 steals per game and ranking 41st in the NJCAA with 35 total steals.
- The Raiders are a very well rounded and disciplined team. This squad ranks 14th in field goal percentage (46.2%), 21st in three-point percentage (34.0), 46th in rebound margin (10.9), 24th in assists (17.5), 44th in steals per game (12.6), eighth in blocks (4.8), first in points per game allowed (41.9), and first in opponents field goal percentage (27.8).
