Raiders defeat Jones 74-26, Improve to 12-0

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida State women's basketball delivered a commanding 48-point victory over Jones College, fueled by relentless defense and disciplined offense.

The Raiders set the tone early, jumping to a 12-0 lead in the first quarter with three-pointers from Mekhia Chase and Kyla McBride, complemented by strong post play from Jade Ondineme and Deborah Davenport. Northwest's defense was suffocating, forcing nine Bobcat turnovers in the opening period and converting them into points.

While Jones College managed to reduce turnovers in the second quarter, they struggled to find offensive rhythm against the Raiders' stifling defense. By halftime, Northwest had surged ahead 39-13.

The second half was more of the same. The Raiders maintained their defensive pressure, holding the Bobcats to just 13 points once again while capitalizing on scoring opportunities. By the final buzzer, the Raiders had secured a dominant 74-26 win.

The win propels the Raiders to a flawless 12-0 record on the season. With just a few non-conference matchups remaining, including a final home game on December 30, the team is gearing up for the start of Panhandle Conference play on January 11, 2025.
