TIP-OFF

Northwest Florida State women's basketball is back at home Wednesday night for their third conference meeting of the season, getting set to take on Pensacola. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM (CST) inside Raider Arena, here in Niceville, Fla.

The Raiders are coming off a resounding road victory over conference rival Tallahassee last Saturday where the Raiders took home a commanding 87-44 victory over the Eagles. This helped propel the Raiders to 17-0 on the season and 2-0 in Panhandle Conference play, allowing them to maintain their coveted No. 1 NJCAA ranking.

The Pirates come into Raider Arena boasting an impressive 17-3 overall record. However, after beginning the year 14-0, the Pirates have split three of their last six matchups, including two losses to conference opponents (No. 2 Gulf Coast, Chipola), bringing their conference record to 1-2.

LAST TIME OUT

NWF handled business on the road last week, taking down their conference rival, Tallahassee, by a healthy 43-point margin, making it the ninth time the Raiders have defeated a team by 40 points or more this season. The Raiders continue to shine offensively and defensively as they have outscored their opponents by double figures in 16 of their 17 matchups this season.

Mekhia Chase led the game in scoring with a career-high 21 points off the bench, adding three assists, three rebounds, and four steals. Celia Riviere scored 18 points for the second consecutive game, marking her 13th straight game she's recorded a double-figure scoring output. Stephanie Mosley set a season-high in scoring with her 12 points for the game. She also added two assists and five steals to her mix.
