Raiders Head to Georgia to Face Southern Crescent

NICEVILLE, Florida – Northwest Florida women's basketball is back on the road this week as they prepare to take on Southern Crescent Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 PM CST from Griffin, Georgia.

This will mark the second meeting this season between the Raiders and Lady Tigers. The last time these two sides met was back on Nov. 20, when the Raiders hosted the Tigers, defeating them emphatically, 101-40.
Celia Riviere (18) and Mekhia Chase (16) led the charge for the Raiders in that one, combining to score 34 points, with Riviere posting a double-double after securing ten rebounds.
The Raiders have gone 4-0 since that meeting, including a pair of home wins this past weekend against Andrew College (76-23) and No. 9 Pearl River (66-53), bringing their overall record to a perfect 11-0.
LAST TIME OUT
NWF picked up another pair of victories over the weekend after defeating Andrew College and No. 9 Pearl River. The Raiders convincingly handled Andrew on Friday night, seeing four different players eclipse double-figure scoring margins, while posting a 47.0% shooting percentage as a team.
Saturday was a different story, as the Raiders took on the formidable Wildcats for what was undoubtedly their toughest opponent to date. The two sides traded leads early, but following halftime, the Raiders would put on an offensive clinic after shooting 66.6% from the floor as a team in the second half en route to a 66-53 victory over the Wildcats.
Destiney McPhaul and Kyla McBride each scored 17 points in Saturdays contest while also combining for 11 rebounds and seven assists. Celia Riviere had another solid outing, posting 16 points with eight rebounds and five assists.
