NICEVILLE, Florida – As the year's final month draws near, an action-packed weekend of basketball awaits at Raider Arena. Northwest Florida State women's basketball will play host to Andrew College on Friday (12/1) at 5:30 PM CST, followed by a matchup against No. 9 Pearl River on Saturday (12/2) starting at 3:00 PM CST. 

 

TIP OFF  

Aside from the Raiders two matchups this week, Friday and Saturday will also feature two additional games as a part of the NWF Classic. The action will commence Friday afternoon at 3:30 PM with a highly anticipated matchup between No. 9 Pearl River and No. 5 Gulf Coast, followed by the Raiders taking on the Tigers at 5:30 PM.

 

Saturday's games will tip off at 1:00 PM with a clash between No. 5 Gulf Coast and Andrew College, followed by a 3:00 PM showdown between No. 1 NWF and No. 9 Pearl River.

Tickets for this weekend can be purchased at the arena on the day of the game, or you can join our Raider Club or Champion Club by visiting nwfraiders.com and clicking on the support and join Raider Club/ Champion Club tab at the top.

 

Ticket information and prices for general admission are as follows: Adults $10, Children (K-12) $5, Small Children (Pre-K and under) Free, NWF Faculty, Staff and Students get in free by presenting their RaiderCard ID.

 

LAST WEEK

NWF picked up two more wins last weekend in Athens, TX after defeating South Plains (62-48) Friday, and Paris College (81-60) on Saturday. Destiney McPhaul and Celia Riviere led the charge for the Raiders on the scoring front for the week, averaging 12.5 points each. Riviere picked up her fifth double-double of the season in Friday's contest with an 11-point, 10-rebound performance while adding 7 assists to her mix.

 

Kyla McBride nearly matched a season-high in scoring during Friday's win after her 16-point outburst against the Lady Texans. Nevaeh Scott had a solid outing off the bench on Saturday, scoring 14 points while adding four steals on the defensive end.

 

The Raiders shot a combined 52.0% clip from the field last week while connecting on 40.0% of their three-point attempts. NWF now ranks third in the nation in points allowed (44.8 ppg). Offensively, the Raiders are averaging 80.3 points per contest which currently ranks as the 20th best mark in the country.
