Strong 3rd Quarter Lifts Raiders to 82-56 Win

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida Raiders cruised to a victory over the Tallahassee Eagles, 82-56. The Raiders came out firing in the 3rd quarter, going on a 7-0 run to open the half and pulled away to a 21-point lead in Raider Arena on Wednesday night.

 

It was a full team effort as four different Raiders scored double digits, with Jaela Davis leading the way at 14 points. Celia Riviere dropped 13 points on 5-9 shooting and Destiney McPhaul had 11. Sakima Walker was dominant yet again in the paint as she scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Zayla Tinner led the team with 9 assists.

 

The Raiders came out firing in the 2nd half, going on a 7-0 run to start the 3rd quarter. The strong 3rd quarter proved to be the difference as the Raiders outscored the Eagles 28-14 out of halftime. 

 

The Raiders continue to defend their home court with perfection as they extend their home winning streak to 4 and improved their record to 14-2 on the season. #4 Northwest Florida will take the court on Wednesday, January 18 as they travel to Pensacola to take on the Pirates.
