4th Quarter Comeback Falls Short, Eastern Florida edges NWF 62-53
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Northwest Florida Lady Raiders have fallen in two straight games, both to top 10 opponents, this time at the hands of #9 Eastern Florida State College 62-53.
The Raiders were down 56-42 with just under 7 minutes in the game before they went on an 11-1 run to cut the deficit to 4 points with 2:00 remaining. The Lady Titans hit a few buckets at the end to extend their lead to 9 points. Turnovers were the difference in the game as Northwest Florida turned the ball over 19 times compared to Eastern Florida's 10.
Destiney McPhaul led the team with 20 points on 6-11 (54.5%) shooting. Sakima Walker recorded a double double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Ro Marc contibuted off the bench with 9 points.
The Raiders (6-2) have a quick turnaround as they will take on Miami Dade College (1-9) tomorrow, December 3rd at 1:00 PM (CST) at Daytona State College. Miami Dade faced Eastern Florida on November 19th, falling 95-43.
