NICEVILLE, Fla. – The top-ranked Northwest Florida State women's basketball team shot 77 percent in the first quarter to jump out to a commanding early lead and never looked back in a 75-34 victory over Bishop State in Raider Arena on Friday.
The Raiders (11-0) led by 16 after one quarter and built a 45-point advantage in the second half en route to the team's 15th consecutive victory.
Last-Tear Poa, Sabou Gueye, and Asjah Inniss tied with a game-high 12 points.
Averaging the third-most steals in the NJCAA with 17.4 per contest, NWF posted 23 more on Friday and forced 35 turnovers in the game.
As a team, the Raiders outscored the Wildcats 42-6 in the paint and won the rebounding battle 35-25.
Northwest Florida State hosts Pearl River at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
