NWF Women Remain Perfect After Road Win

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 1 Northwest Florida State's top-ranked defense was on full display in a 76-48 victory over Santa Fe on Saturday.

The Raiders (9-0) remained undefeated after holding the Saints to just 25.8 percent shooting for the game. After taking a 42-31 lead into halftime, it was the final 20 minutes that proved why NWF is the top team in the nation. Northwest Florida held Santa Fe to just 17 points on 20.7 percent shooting while going 11-for-21 from the field offensively.

Last-Tear Poa followed up her 31-point performance against Odessa on Nov. 27 with 25 points on Saturday. Poa was 8-of-12 from the field and 9-for-9 from the free throw line.

Asjah Inniss turned in a career-high 19 points with four 3-pointers, her fourth double-digit game of the season.

Sabou Gueye had seven points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

NWF wraps up its six-game road stretch with a trip to Bishop State on Tuesday before finally returning home on Dec. 10-11 to face Bishop State and Pearl River.
