NICEVILLE, Fla. – No. 1 Northwest Florida State women's basketball knocked off East Central, 75-43, to cap a 2-0 homestand on Saturday.
The Raiders forced 77 turnovers in their two contests, including a season-high 42 on Saturday, which led to 44 points.
NWF (4-0) shot a season-best 45.8 percent (27-59) from the field and outscored the Warriors 38-12 in the paint.
Ines Piper was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line to finish with a team-best 12 points to go along with four blocks.
Shelbee Brown and Masengo Mutanda had 10 points each and combined for nine steals.
Northwest Florida State hits the road next week to take on Denmark Tech on Monday at 1 p.m. (CT).
