PENSACOLA, Fla. – Less than 48 hours after the last meeting between the teams, No. 3 Northwest Florida State women's basketball dismantled Pensacola, 68-40, in Hartsell Arena on Wednesday.
The Raiders (12-1, 8-1 PC) have now won 11 straight over the Pirates dating back to 2017, including a 58-43 victory on Monday.
Northwest Florida dominated the first half outscoring Pensacola 21-4 in the second quarter while shooting 50 percent (13-26) from the field in the half. For the game, the Raiders shot 46.3 percent (25-54) and knocked down seven 3-pointers.
Chanaya Pinto paced NWF with 20 points on an 8-for-17 effort for her fourth 20-point performance of the year.
Last-Tear Poa went 6-of-12 from the field and hit a pair of threes to finish with a season-best 18 points.
Northwest Florida returns to Raider Arena on March 9 to face Gulf Coast at 5:30 p.m.
