Raiders Dominant in Win over Tallahassee

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida women's basketball looked to be in top form as the No. 2 Raiders dominated Tallahassee, 88-26, in Raider Arena on Thursday. 

NWF (6-0, 2-0 PC) led from start to finish and extending an impressive streak. The Raiders have not trailed at the end of any of the 24 quarters played this season. In fact, Northwest Florida has led for 230 of the 240 minutes the team has played.

Masengo Mutanda led the charge in the 62-point victory with 22 points and six rebounds. Chanaya Pinto scored 14 points to go with five boards. Laura Taylor and Inès Piper added 10 points each.

The Raider outrebounded Tallahassee 55-24 on the day and shot 56.5 percent (35-62) in the process. NWF scored 54 of its 88 points in the paint and 27 off of 23 Eagle turnovers.

Northwest Florida faces a challenge on Saturday when the team travels to Marianna to face No. 3 Chipola. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
