Top 10 Women’s Hoops Matchup Highlights Doubleheader

NICEVILLE, Fla. – No. 5 Northwest Florida women's basketball is set for a monster matchup with No. 7 Chipola in Marianna Wednesday as part of a Panhandle Conference doubleheader with the men.

NWF (21-4, 6-3 PC) is looking to avenge its road loss to Chipola on Jan. 8 and solidify its place atop the league standings with a win. A victory would give the Raiders sole possession of first heading into the final two games of the regular season.

In the previous meeting, a 60-53 loss, Northwest Florida shot just 51.9 percent from the free throw line and committed 26 turnovers. Since that game, the team has gone 6-1 and converted 70 percent of its free throws.

The men's team (12-13, 0-9) is also looking for revenge after falling to the Indians in both prior meetings this season.

The women kick things off at 5:30 p.m. and the men are set for a 7:30 p.m. start. The games with be live streamed at YouTube.com/ChipolaCollege.
