Capital City Clash: NWF Invades Tallahassee for Marquee Matchup

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida men's and women's basketball travels to face Tallahassee on Wednesday in a vital Panhandle Conference matchup. The women are set for a 4:30 p.m. (CT) tip and the men are slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. (CT).

Both games will be streamed live HERE.

NWF women (18-4, 3-3 PC) dropped one spot to No. 10 in the NJCAA poll but stand just a game out of first place in the league standings. The Raiders split in what was a grueling week of action. The team knocked off Chipola, who had been previously unbeaten in Panhandle play, then stubbled at Gulf Coast.

Fapou Semebene and Rayven Peeples have been playing well of late. Semebene stands fifth in the conference averaging 9.5 rebounds per game, while Peeples paces the league shooting 63.9 percent from the field.

Tallahassee's women (10-9, 1-4) notched its first conference win in upset fashion defeating then-No. 2 Chipola in Marianna. The Eagles are led by Polina Nikulochkina, who averages 17.6 points per game.

The Raider men (12-10, 0-6) enter the game as one of the best defensive teams in the league allowing opponents to shoot just 38.8 percent from the field and 29.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Tallahassee (19-4, 3-2) is in a tie for second in the league having dropped two straight games. The Eagles are playing at home for the first time since Jan. 15.
