PENSACOLA, Fla. – Northwest Florida women held Pensacola to just 23.5 percent shooting en route to a 62-40 win in Hartsell Arena Saturday.
With the win, the Raiders improved to 17-3 overall and 2-2 in Panhandle Conference play. Rayven Peeples led the charge offensively with 13 points. Chanaya Pinto added 11 and Jasmine Quarterman added 10. Laura Taylor paced the team with nine rebounds, a season high.
Pensacola (13-9, 1-3) managed to convert just 12 of 51 shots and made only two of its 13 attempts from 3-point range. Kaiya Burnett led the Pirates with 21 points. NWF forced 21 turnovers and led the rebounding battle 46-38.
Northwest Florida returns to Niceville to take on Chipola on Jan. 22.
