MARIANNA, Fla. – No. 8 Northwest Florida was stymied from start to finish in a 60-53 loss to No. 3 Chipola on Wednesday in the Milton Johnson Center.
The Raiders (15-3, 0-2 PC) shot 36.7 percent from the floor, 51.9 percent from the free throw line, and turned the ball over 26 times in the loss, the team's third in a row.
Chipola (17-1, 2-0) only managed to convert 27.4 percent of its shots but knocked down 19 free throws and seven 3-pointers in the winning effort.
Chanaya Pinto scored eight of her team-best 15 points from the charity stripe and pulled down 10 rebounds to complete the double-double. Fapou Semebene finished with a game-high 12 boards.
Northwest Florida returns to action on Saturday as Tallahassee visits Raider Arena for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
