No. 4 Raiders Set for Bossier Classic

NICEVILLE, Fla. – No. 4 Northwest Florida women's basketball travels to Bossier City, La., to take part in the Bossier Classic Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

The Raiders face Bossier Parish at 5 p.m. Tuesday and New Mexico at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The games will be streamed at https://mediasite.bpcc.edu/Mediasite/Showcase.

NWF puts its 14-0 record of the line for the final two non-conference games of the season. The Raiders defense leads the nation allowing just 44.5 points per game. Offensively, Rayven Peeples leads the Panhandle Conference and is second in the country shooting 67.3 percent from the field. Fapou Semebene is just shy of averaging a double-double with 11.9 points and 9.9 boards per contest.

Bossier Parrish (2-10) dropped its first 10 games of the season but have rallied to win the last two, including a 92-67 rout of Coastal Bend on Sunday.

New Mexico enters the tournament 9-4 overall and averaging 75.5 points per game. The Thunderbirds are 26th in the country averaging 13.5 steals per contest.
