Northwest Florida Set for Action-Packed Week

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Fourth-ranked Northwest Florida women's basketball hosts Pearl River, Eastern Florida, and DME Academy in the NWF Classic Thursday and Friday.

The Raiders (11-0) take on Pearl River at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Eastern Florida at 7 p.m. Friday. As part of the classic, Northwest will host a pair of high school games featuring Niceville High School, Tate High School, and Crestview High School.

Chanaya Pinto led Northwest Florida to a pair of wins in the JUCO Shootout last week. The freshman turned in 14 points and 15 rebounds in the team's 46-point win over Palm Beach. Rayven Peeples continues to impress scoring in double figures in seven of 11 games. Peeples leads the nation shooting 70 percent from the floor.

Pearl River (4-2) had its three-game winning streak snapped with an 88-79 loss to Copiah-Lincoln Monday. Eastern Florida (9-1) enters the weekend ranked 24th in the NJCAA poll and have won four straight after falling to Miami Dade on Nov. 15.

7 p.m. - Eastern Florida vs. Northwest Florida
