Georgia Gayle commits to the University of Central Florida

NICEVILLE, FL - Sophomore guard Georgia Gayle committed to the University of Central Florida on Saturday.
Gayle, who originally hails from Great Britain, will head to Orlando for the 2019-20 season with two years of NCAA eligibility. She will be joining a Knights team who went 22-11 last year, which tied for the school's most wins since moving to Division 1.
As a freshman, Gayle helped lead the Raiders to an Elite 8 finish in the NJCAA Women's National Tournament. She started all 31 games, averaging 12.4 points per night. She earned First Team All-Panhandle Conference honors, as well as being named to the NJCAA Nationals All-Tournament Team. During the national tournament, Gayle averaged 14.3 points per game while shooting 64% from beyond the arc.
Not only did she succeed on the court, she also excelled in the classroom. Her hard-work and diligence to her studies earned her All-Panhandle Conference and FCSAA Academic Team honors.
