CLEARWATER, FL - Florida Southwestern got things started in the first inning when T. Jenson doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

 

Northwest Florida State College evened things up at two in the top of the second inning when Alexis Wadsworth doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

 

Florida Southwestern pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning.

 

B. Haggard pitched Florida Southwestern to victory. The pitcher surrendered two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking zero.

 

Julia Petty took the loss for Northwest Florida State College. The righty lasted one inning, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one and walking one.

 

Maycie Hardy, Abigail Pippen, Sydney Stewart, Gabby Fischetti, Brilee Broussard, and Wadsworth each managed one hit to lead Northwest Florida State College.

 

F. Poot went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Florida Southwestern in hits. Florida Southwestern tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. S. Dunijn led the way with two.
