Raiders Sweep Tallahassee in Home Finale

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida State softball wrapped up its 2021 home slate with a pair of wins over Tallahassee on Tuesday at the Raider Softball Complex.

 

Northwest Florida 10, Tallahassee 3

The Raiders used a steady dose of offense to down Tallahassee 10-3 in the first game of the doubleheader.

 

Amber Divine, Ivey Hill, and Abbott Stafford all doubled, while Brittni Rufus turned in a triple NWF totaled 11 hits in the game.

 

Northwest Florida scored in all but one of the six innings they came to bat. Despite allowing 12 hits, Lauren Parson worked out of trouble and kept the Eagles hitter at bay. The right-hander pitched all seven innings and allowed three runs.

 

Northwest Florida 12, Tallahassee 2

Abby Sulte went 3-for-3 with three RBI and her 20th home run of the season to lead the Raiders to a 12-2 victory.

 

Emma Alley also went deep with, a solo shot to center in the second inning.

 

Northwest Florida scored eight times in the second to take control of the game. Sulte delivered the big blow with a three-run homer.

 

Divine finished the game 3-for-3 with three runs batted in and Gabrielle Fischetti collected a pair of hits and scored three times.
