PANAMA CITY, Fla. – The Northwest Florida State softball team split a doubleheader at Gulf Coast on Monday.
Northwest Florida 15, Gulf Coast 5
The Raiders totaled 18 hits in a rout of the Commodores in game one. Abby Sulte and Gabrielle Fischetti finished with four hits each, while Bailey Cox, Lauren Parson, Emma Ally, and Abbott Stafford each collected two hits.
Fischetti had three doubles and five RBI in the game, while Stafford and Sulte had two doubles each. Brittni Rufus added a three-run home run in the fourth.
Parson tossed the complete game in the circle to earn the win. She allowed two earned runs on six hits.
Gulf Coast 10, Northwest Florida 4
Northwest Florida got all of its offense in the fourth inning as Gulf Coast pulled away to take game two.
Amber Divine was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Lele Martinez collected a run scoring double, while Rufus also drove in a run.
The Raiders host Tallahassee on Tuesday in the team's final home game. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
