MARIANNA, Fla. – Northwest Florida softball dropped a pair of game at Chipola in Panhandle Conference action on Monday.
Chipola 13, Northwest Florida 5
The Indians scored five runs in the first innings and nine runs over the first three frames to take the first game in the doubleheader.
The Raiders (31-15, 6-8 PC) got a solo homer from Gabrielle Fischetti and a two-RBI double from Cameron Hall to lead the offense.
Northwest Florida was bitten by five defensive errors and left seven runners on base.
Chipola 7, Northwest Florida 3
The Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the first on a Brittni Rufus RBI single, but again, Chipola score early and often to take control of the game.
The Indians pounded out 13 hits and held NWF two just four base knocks.
Abby Sulte and Fischetti collected RBI in the game for NWF.
The Raiders return to action against Pensacola on Wednesday at the Raider Softball Complex.
