Raider Softball Wins 11th Straight

Tanner, Ala. – Northwest Florida State softball extended its winnings streak to 11 games with a pair of wins over Calhoun on Thursday.

Northwest Florida 11, Calhoun 7

Sckylier Baronet, Lele Martinez and Abby Sulte all homered as the Raiders defeated Calhoun, 11-7, in the first game of the doubleheader.

Northwest Florida tallied 13 hits and totaled seven extra base hits in the win.

Martinez, Sulte, Baronet, Amber Divine, and Bailey Cox all finished with two hits each.

Ivey Hill allowed three earned runs over 5.1 innings in the start to earn the win.

Northwest Florida 12, Calhoun 3

The Raiders got big offensive performances from Martinez, Sulte and Emma Alley in the team's 12-3 victory in game two.

Martinez finished 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs. Sulte was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs, while Alley hit two home runs and collected four RBIs. Gabrielle Fischetti also hit a solo home run in the game.

Katie Walters was solid in the circle for NWF. The freshman allowed just one earned run in six innings of work.

Northwest Florida returns home to face Coastal Alabama – North at 1 p.m. on Monday.
