NWF Softball Shows Offensive Might in Sweep

ANDALUSIA, Ala. – Northwest Florida softball combined to score 21 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Lurleen B. Wallace on Friday.

Northwest Florida 6, LBW 1

Abby Sulte hit a pair of home runs and drove in three runs to lead the Raiders to a 6-1 win over Lurleen B. Wallace on Friday.

Sulte got Northwest Florida on the board with a solo home run in the second inning, then extended the team's advantage to 6-1 with a two-run homer in the sixth.

Sckylier Baronet drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the third and another on a single in the fifth. Amber Divine had a double to round out the offense for the Raiders.

Katie Walters pitched arguably her most effective game of the season. The freshman went the full seven innings allowing one run with five strike outs.

Northwest Florida 15, LBW 7

The Raiders (17-7) cranked out 10 hits and drew seven walks in a 15-7 rout.

Sulte was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Gabrielle Fischetti went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.

Ashley Fogg had a pair of hits, while Amber Divine doubled, drew a walk, and scored three times in the game.

Ivey Hill turned in a two-out, two-RBI double in the fourth.

The Raiders are back at home on March 9 when they host Coastal Alabama – East.
