Hill’s 6 Hits Paces NWF Softball in Sweep

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida State softball used steady offensive output to take both games of a doubleheader over Coastal Alabama – South in the Raiders' home opener.

Northwest Florida 11, Coastal Alabama – South 3

The Raiders (15-7) totaled seven extra base hits, including three doubles by Ivey Hill as Northwest Florida dismantled Coastal Alabama – South, 11-3.

Hill was also stellar on the mound earning the win in a complete-game effort. The southpaw struck out three and allowed two earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Hill was 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Gabrielle Fischetti, Amber Divine, and Abbott Stafford all collected three hits each.

Emma Alley hit a solo home run in the third, her third of the year.

Northwest Florida 8, Coastal Alabama – South 3

Hill picked up where she left off going 3-for-4 from the plate with a home run and two RBIs.

Lele Martinez also went deep socking her seventh homer of the year.

Stafford was 2-for-2 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. 

Katie Walters went the distance in the circle allowing two earned runs on five hits in her seven innings of work.

Northwest Florida travels to face Enterprise State at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
