Offensive Behavior: NWF Softball Continues Winning Way

RAYMOND, Miss. – The offensive onslaught continued for Northwest Florida State softball on Tuesday with two lop-sided wins over Hinds Community College, 17-8 and 10-5.

Northwest Florida 17, Hinds 8

The Raiders (10-4) nickel and dimed 17 runs in the opener. Despite scoring in double-digits, NWF did not hit a home run, which snapped a streak of 10 games with a long ball.

Gabrielle Fischetti went 4-for-5 with a double and four RBIs. Amber Divine and Cameron Hall collected three hits each, while Ivey Hill and Abby Sulte finished with two hits apiece.

Lele Martinez turned in her third triple of the season and drove in a run. Brittni Rufus walked three times and scored thrice.

Northwest Florida 10, Hinds 5

Northwest Florida scored in double-digits for the fifth consecutive game as the Raiders raced past Hinds, 10-5, in the second game of the doubleheader.

Cameron Hall and Sckylier Baronet each went deep for NWF, while Martinez hit her second triple in as many games on the day.

Martinez, Hall, and Hill each finished with two hits. Abby Sulte and Amber Divine were each 3-for-3.

Freshman Katie Walters picked up her fifth win in the circle tossing the full seven innings. She allowed four earned runs on five hits and struck out seven.

Northwest Florida travels to takes on Bishop State on Feb. 12.
