NWF Softball Travels for Pair of Friday Games

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida softball travels to Bay Minette, Ala., Friday to take on Coastal Alabama – South and Southern Union. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. 

The Raiders (13-5) have won six consecutive games, including a doubleheader sweep of Pearl River on Tuesday.

Earlier in the week, sophomore Lele Martinez was named Region VIII and NJCAA Player of the Week. She backed up the honor with a pair of hits highlighted by a 3-run home run against the Wildcats.

Brookelyn Sweeney turned in a breakout performance tossing a no-hitter in the first game before striking out seven batters in 2.1 innings of relief in game two.
