Raiders Extend Win Streak to Four with 80-57 Victory Over Hillsborough

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Northwest Florida State men's basketball maintained its winning momentum this weekend, securing two victories at the Florida Shootout. After a dominant 96-62 win over Miami Dade on Saturday, the Raiders followed up with an 80-57 triumph over Hillsborough on Sunday.

The Raiders' offense was once again efficient, shooting an impressive 60.0% from the field, including 53.8% from beyond the arc. Sunday's scoring effort was led by Davion Hill, who poured in 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting, marking his second 20-point performance this season. Josh Hayes added 15 points and nine rebounds, continuing his strong post play with back-to-back double-digit scoring games. Curtis Williams, Braylon Roman, and Nathan Ojukwu each contributed 10 points to round out the offensive leaders.

While the Raiders connected on seven three-pointers, much of their success came inside, as they scored 50 of their 80 points in the paint. A key factor in the victory was ball control, with Northwest Florida committing a season-low eight turnovers.

The 60.0% shooting performance tied the Raiders' season-best, set on November 2 against South Georgia Tech. The team also extended its trend of making seven three-pointers in four of its last five games. Notably, the Raiders remain undefeated (9-0) when shooting over 50.0% and winless (0-3) when falling below that mark.

The win extends the Raiders' streak to four games, improving their overall record to 9-3 with five non-conference matchups remaining.
