Raiders Set to Host Eight Games this Weekend; MBB Will Play Southern Union and Meridian, WBB Will Play Miami Dade and Eastern Florida

NICEVILLE, Florida – It's yet another action-packed weekend brimming with basketball excitement at Raider Arena. The venue is set to host a total of eight games spanning Friday to Saturday, showcasing both men's and women's basketball for the thrilling Raider Classic.

 

Games will kick off this Friday (Nov. 10) at 1:30 PM with a women's basketball showdown between Gulf Coast and Eastern Florida, followed by a men's basketball game at 3:30 PM featuring Pensacola and Meridian. From there, Raiders Women's basketball will take the stage for their home opener against Miami Dade beginning at 5:30 PM. Raiders men's basketball will follow the women's with a game against Southern Union, which is set to tip-off at 7:30 PM

 

Saturday's slate will feature four more games starting with another women's matchup featuring Gulf Coast and Miami Dade at 1:30 PM, followed by a men's basketball game at 3:30 PM between Pensacola and Southern Union. Raiders women's basketball is set to play Eastern Florida at 5:30 PM, with the night finishing off with NWF men's basketball playing Meridian at 7:30 PM.

TICKETS

Tickets for this weekend can be purchased at the arena on the day of the game, or you can join our Raider Club or Champion Club by visiting nwfraiders.com and clicking on the support and join Raider Club/ Champoin Club tab at the top.

 

Ticket information and prices for general admission are as follows: Adults $10, Children (K-12) $5, Small Children (Pre-K and under) Free, NWF Faculty, Staff and Students get in free by presenting their RaiderCard ID.

 

PARKING

Due to the Emerald Coast PCA Rodeo taking place Friday and Saturday on our campus, we ask all fans attending the Raiders games this weekend to please park on the east side (front entrance) of the arena since the west side will be used by rodeo attendees.

 

LAST WEEK – MBB

  • The Raiders secured wins two, three and four last weekend with victories over East Central (81-67), North Florida Prep. (89-40) and East Mississippi, which was ruled a forfeit for the Lions.
  • NWF combined to outscore their opponents 170-107 last week and are outscoring opponents 260-149 so far this season.
  • Jadyn Shider and Tavion Banks led the charge in the Raiders victory over East Central last Friday, each contributing double-doubles. Together, they amassed 38 points and 29 rebounds.
  • Tajuan Simpkins dominated the court on Saturday, showcasing an impressive performance with 44 points against North Florida Prep. He displayed exceptional accuracy by sinking 11 three-pointers while missing only three shots throughout the night, shooting a remarkable 16-19 from the floor.

 

LAST WEEK – WBB

  • NWF Women had an impressive showing last weekend in Panama City where they are securing their first and second victories of the season after defeating Salt Lake (59-52) and Central Georgia Tech (82-36).
  • The Raiders continued their winning ways on Tuesday night after crushing East Mississippi 95-38 for their third win of the season.
  • Celia Riviere posted her first career double-double against the Lions with a game leading 18 points and ten rebounds. Mekhia Chase also had a solid night, contributing 16 points along with six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Destiney McPhaul (11) and Mya Pierfax (10) also found themselves with double figure scoring outputs.
  • The Raiders have now outscored their opponents 236-126 on the season.
