Strong Second Half Propels Raiders over #8 Monroe 73-59
NICEVILLE, Fla. - Northwest Florida continues to defend their home court as the Raiders came away with a 73-59 win over #8 Monroe College on Saturday night. The Raiders connected on 26-62 (41.9%) shooting in the contest.
Northwest Florida came out firing in the second half after being down 33-28 at halftime. The Raiders buckled down, starting the second half on a 12-2 run and never surrendering the lead again. NWF pulled away for a 73-59 win over #8 Monroe College on Saturday night. Marcus Niblack was instrumental in the Raiders win tonight as he scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half. Niblack had 4 steals, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.
Kasean Pryor had 17 points and led the team in rebounds with 9 boards. Pryor also recorded 4 blocks. Chad Baker-Mazara accounted for 13 points on 6-14 (42.9%) shooting. Northwest Florida's defense created 18 turnovers on defense with Niblack's 4 steals and Taryn Todd's 3.
The Raiders will travel down to Daytona Beach to take on Santa Fe College on Saturday, December 10th at 4:00 PM CST. Santa Fe (5-3) is averaging 92 points/game.
