NICEVILLE, Fla. – Another night in Raider Arena, another win for No. 8 Northwest Florida men's basketball as the Raiders improved to 8-0 at home under first-year coach Greg Heiar after a 67-56 win over Marion Military on Friday.
Issa Muhammad turned in a career performance with 24 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. Muhammad went 12-of-17 from the field in the win.
NWF (12-1) got 15 points from Brennan Rigsby, while Deshawndre Washington posted seven points and 12 boards.
The Raiders clamped down defensively in the second half and held Marion to just 27.8 percent (10-36) shooting, including a 0-for-9 mark from 3-point range.
Northwest Florida State hosts Holmes at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
