NWF Rally Falls Short at Gulf Coast

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Northwest Florida men's basketball whittled a 23-point, second half deficit down to seven, but ran out of time in an 80-73 loss at Gulf Coast on Tuesday. 

The Raiders (6-13, 3-11 PC) knocked down eight 3-pointers in the second half and 12 for the game to help chip away in the second half. However, Gulf Coast was deadly from beyond the arc as well hitting 14 triples in the game.

Micah Thomas paced Northwest Florida with 15 points and five assists. Ethan Yancy was 3-of-5 from long distance and 5-for-6 from the free throw line to end with 14 points. Marseilles Caston and Calvin Payton added 11 points each.

The Raiders are back on the road Thursday when the team travels to Tallahassee for its final road game of the season. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. (CT).
