Pensacola’s Hot Start Sinks Raiders

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Pensacola's hot start was too much for Northwest Florida State to overcome as the Raiders fell, 82-64, on Wednesday.

The Pirates shot 56.7 percent in the first half and 47.7 percent for the game. Each team knocked down nine 3-pointers.

NWF (5-9, 2-7 PC) was led by Alonzo Gaffney with 20 points. Brison Waller added 11 points and Marseilles Caston chipped in with 11.

The Raiders cut the deficit to single digits early in the second half but could not chip away anymore.

Northwest Florida State returns to action on March 9 in Raider Arena against Gulf Coast.
