Raiders Sign Touted Big Man Fallou Diagne

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Fallou Diagne has signed to play for Northwest Florida men's basketball, head coach Butch Pierre announced Tuesday.

Diagne, a 6-11 post from Senegal, attended Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona for his senior year. The year before, he averaged 18.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks while shooting 60 percent from the field for Tri-City Christian School, also located in Chandler.

With offers from Arizona State, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and many others, Diagne built his stock during his time a prep star. 247Sports.com ranks him as the No. 17 prospect in the state of Arizona and No. 66 center in the country.

Diagne helped lead Tri-City to a 24-2 record CAA Division III State Championship runner-up finish as a junior.

"Fallou has great potential," Pierre said. "He will have a major impact on our team and can become a special player. I love his upside and versatility. We are very excited to have him in our program."
