NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida men's basketball dropped a heartbreaker to Pensacola in overtime, 80-75, Wednesday in Raider Arena.
The Raiders (12-12, 0-8 PC) led by 19 in the second half but a furious Pirate comeback forced the game to extra time. Pensacola (15-10, 4-4) made 3-of-8 field goals over the final five minutes to prevail.
Marseilles Caston scored a game-high 28 points before fouling out. The freshman shot 8-of-14 and knocked down five 3-pointers. Jourdan Smith added 17 points and nine rebounds, while Seth Millner finished with 15 points and six boards.
Shawndarius Cowart led the Pirates with 20 points on an 8-for-22 effort.
Northwest Florida returns to action on Saturday as the team hosts Gulf Coast at 7:30 p.m.
