Northwest Florida Set to Host Chipola Wednesday

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida men's and women's basketball are set to host Chipola Wednesday in Raider Arena. The women kick things off at 5:30 p.m. and the men are slated for a 7:30 p.m. start.

The games will be streamed online at EmeraldCoastTV.com or fans can watch on their Roku or Amazon Fire devices by downloading the Emerald Coast TV app.

The ninth-ranked NWF women's squad (17-3, 2-2 PC) has won two straight since falling to Chipola in Marianna on Jan. 8. The Raiders have cranked things up offensively and boast the best field goal percentage – 45.8 percent – in the Panhandle Conference. Defensively, the team continues to pace the NJCAA allowing just 47.3 points per contest.

The men (12-8, 0-4) fell to Pensacola Saturday in overtime, the team's second extra-period Panhandle Conference loss. Marseilles Caston scored 18 points in the game and ranks 16th in the conference with 62 points through four league games.

Chipola's women enter the game ranked No. 3 nationally with an 18-1 overall mark and are the lone Panhandle team remaining with an unblemished league record at 4-0. The Indians men are 1-3 in conference action and 13-7 overall. Chipola earned a sweep in the first meeting between the schools on Jan. 8.
