MARIANNA, Fla. – Northwest Florida men's basketball couldn't withstand the hot shooting of Chipola falling, 79-51, Wednesday in the Milton Jonson Center.
The Raiders (12-6, 0-2 PC) shot just 31.7 percent from the floor, but got double digit performances from Marseilles Caston (14) and Jourdan Smith (12).
Lat Mayen scored a game-high 20 points and 16 rebounds for Chipola (13-5, 1-1). Mayen shot 6-of-14 from the field and knocked down four 3-pointers. As a team, the Indians hit 15 triples and were 15-of-36 from the floor.
Northwest Florida returns to Niceville on Saturday when the teams hosts Tallahassee at 7:30 p.m.
