GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Northwest Florida men's basketball fell to USC Salkehatchie, 86-78, Saturday in the JUCO Shootout.
The Raiders (9-4) took a 41-39 lead into the halftime break but were outscored 47-37 over the final 20 minutes.
Marseilles Caston and Anthony Mason scored 21 points each, while Seth Millner added 18 points. Mason turned in his first 20-plus point performance of the year on 9-of-10 shooting.
NWF shot 43.3 percent from the floor for the game but were just 3-of-14 from 3-point range. USC Salk was red-hot in the second half shooting 51.6 percent (16-31).
USC Salk's Vince Cole led all scorers with 25 points on 7-of-19 shooting.
The Raiders look ahead to Sunday when the team takes on Daytona State at 4 p.m.
