PENSACOLA, Fla. – No. 18 Northwest Florida fell to Trinity Valley, 81-71, in opening round action of the Pirate Thanksgiving Classic.
Jourdan Smith led the Raiders (7-2) with 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting to go along with a game-high 10 rebounds. Marseilles Caston added 17 points, including three 3-pointers, while Seth Millner added 14 points and eight rebounds.
Dashawn Davis had 21 points for Trinity Valley (6-2). Cameron Dennis scored 20 and added three steals.
The Raiders look to bounce back Tuesday with a 4 p.m. tip against Odessa.
