Allen and Powell Lead Raiders to 11th Straight Win with 11-0 Rout Over No. 25 Chipola

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Henry Allen put on a clinic at the plate, driving in four runs on three hits, while Cooper Powell delivered a masterful performance on the mound to propel Northwest Florida State to a commanding 11-0 (5 innings) victory over No. 25 Chipola on Monday. Allen's night included an RBI single in the third, a two-run single in the fifth, and a leadoff solo homer in the first. Powell was equally dominant, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out seven.

The Raiders wasted no time asserting themselves, as Qrey Lott and Allen blasted back-to-back home runs to open the game, giving Northwest Florida an early 2-0 lead. The offensive surge continued in the third inning, with Hutson Guinn crushing a three-run homer to right field and Allen adding an RBI single to extend the lead to 6-0.

Northwest Florida sealed the run-rule victory in the fifth with another explosive inning, plating five more runs. Lott ripped an RBI single through the left side, Allen followed with a two-run single over the infield, and Sam Bradley put the finishing touches on the win with a towering two-run blast to right field. The victory marked the Raiders' 11th consecutive win.

Chipola's Austin Brown took the loss, surrendering four runs on four hits over two innings, while striking out four and walking two.

The Raiders tallied 12 hits, with Lott, Matthew Farner, and Bradley each turning in multi-hit performances. Defensively, Northwest Florida was rock solid, playing error-free baseball with Augusto Mungarietta leading the way with seven defensive plays.

Colin Guerra paced Chipola offensively, going 2-for-2, while the Indians also played a clean defensive game, with Cole Garner recording a team-high five chances.

With this victory, the Raiders secure their 20th win of the season and improve to 2-0 in conference play after edging No. 14 Gulf Coast 5-4 on Friday. Northwest Florida State has been on fire, winning 11 consecutive games while outscoring opponents 96-43 and posting a .340 team batting average. The team will aim to maintain this momentum as they face a grueling stretch of five games in five days.
