Raiders Dominate LBW Behind Hutson Guinn's Power Surge

ANDALUSIA, Ala. — Hutson Guinn powered Northwest Florida State to a commanding 17-3 victory over LBW Baseball on Tuesday in Andalusia, launching two home runs and driving in four runs. Guinn's long balls came in the fourth and seventh innings.

A nine-run fourth inning propelled the Raiders to a comfortable lead. David Alvarez doubled to bring in one run, followed by Guinn's two-run homer to right field. Sylas Boris added a two-run shot to left, Henry Allen and Augusto Mungarietta each delivered RBI singles, and Alvarez capped off the scoring with a two-run single.

The Raiders struck first in the third inning when Ira Jefferies-Harris tripled to drive in a run. They extended their lead further with a six-run explosion in the seventh, fueled by home runs from Allen, Mungarietta, and Guinn.

On the mound, Thomas Conrad got the start for Northwest Florida State, allowing just two hits and an unearned run over four innings while striking out four and walking none. Chase Moller took the ball for LBW, giving up five hits and three runs over 3.1 innings with one strikeout and one walk. In relief, Jackson Evers tossed a scoreless inning for the Raiders, striking out three without allowing a hit.

Northwest Florida State racked up 20 hits in the game. Qrey Lott, Mungarietta, and Jefferies-Harris each tallied three hits, while Allen, Sam Bradley, Matthew Keller, and Alvarez also had multi-hit performances. Defensively, the Raiders turned a double play.

For LBW, Jordan Parks and Jackson Mills recorded two hits apiece. Eduardo Morel went 1-for-1 with two RBIs, and the team played error-free defense, with Tate Morris leading the way with seven chances in the field.

Next up, the Raiders travel to face Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday 5:00 p.m. followed by a doubleheader Saturday with the Bulldogs starting at noon.
