NICEVILLE, Fla. — Northwest Florida State clinched a commanding 11-0 victory over Tallahassee on Tuesday at the NWF Baseball complex following a 14 hit, 11 run performance by the offense, and a five-inning shutout by the pitching staff.

The Raiders wasted no time, scoring in the bottom of the first inning with Cade Sadler's walk and Brock Tapper's sacrifice fly, each bringing in a run. Their offense exploded in the third inning, tallying five runs on seven hits. Tapper's double, followed by RBI singles from Kendrey Maduro, Chase Williams, and Cayden Gaskin, fueled the scoring spree.

In the fifth inning, Qrey Lott sealed the win with a three-run no-doubt home run to left field, walking the Raiders off with the game one win.

Reigning pitcher of the week, Sam Strek, delivered an outstanding performance for Northwest Florida, conceding only two hits and zero runs over five innings, with three strikeouts and three walks. Meanwhile, Branch took the loss for Tallahassee, allowing six runs on six hits in two and one-third innings, with no strikeouts and three walks.

The Raiders dominated at the plate, accumulating 14 hits. Gaskin, Williams, Sadler, Maduro, Tapper, and Jaquae Stewart each contributed two hits, with Lott leading the team with three RBIs. Williams also showcased his speed with two stolen bases.

Defensively, the Raiders displayed flawless fielding, committing no errors. Stewart led the team with 10 chances in the field.

For the Eagles, Gomez and Henry managed one hit each, with Gomez handling the most chances in the field with four.

Northwest Florida State will host Tallahassee again on Thursday for another 5:00 PM game before heading to Tallahassee Saturday for a doubleheader.
