Raiders Take Down Ravens and Bucks in Friday Doubleheade

 

GAME ONE (vs. San Jacinto)

Northwest Florida took control early in the game, securing their lead in the bottom of the first inning with Colby Jones's single, followed by San Jacinto CC's error on a third strike, resulting in two runs. The team extended their lead to 3-0 in the third inning, with Bryce Hubbard's double play.

Pitcher Mack Estrada led the charge, securing the win for the Raiders. Estrada allowed only two runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out eight batters. San Jacinto CC's Roman faced the loss after pitching four innings and conceding seven runs on eight hits. Raiders' Will Boylan closed the game with one and one-third innings of solid pitching, not allowing any runs.

The team recorded 10 hits, with Tyler Lejeune, Cayden Gaskin, and Jones each contributing two hits. Jaquae Stewart and Kendrey Maduro each drove in two runs for Northwest Florida.

 

GAME TWO (vs. Motlow State)

Northwest Florida wasted no time in establishing their lead, with Colby Jones's groundout and Aiden Paradine's fielder's choice in the bottom of the first inning, each driving in a run.The team continued to assert their dominance, adding another run in the third inning courtesy of Jaquae Stewart's single.

Pitcher Colin Linder delivered an outstanding performance for the Raiders, allowing zero runs over six innings while striking out eight batters. On the opposing side, Fugate faced the loss for Motlow CC after conceding five runs over four and one-third innings.

The Raiders recorded nine hits in the game, with Chase Williams and Kendrey Maduro each contributing two hits. Williams and Matthew Keller led the team with two RBIs each. Stewart's disciplined approach at the plate earned him three walks, contributing to the team's impressive eight walks in total. Cayden Gaskin and Williams showcased their speed on the bases, stealing multiple bases for Northwest Florida State.

Defensively, Northwest Florida maintained their composure, committing zero errors throughout the game. Paradine stood out in the field, recording the most chances with nine.
