Pitching Staff Leads Raiders over #10 Gulf Coast 5-2

NICEVILLE, Fla. - The Northwest Florida baseball team came out victorious over #10 Gulf Coast behind a dominant performance from the pitching staff. Colin Linder earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for the Raiders. Linder allowed four hits and one run over four innings, striking out eight. Ramsey David and Kyle Beaty entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Beaty recorded the last five outs to earn the save.

 

The Raider offense tallied ten hits in the game. Scott MudlerColby Jones, and Matt Gonzalez all had multiple hits for Northwest Florida. Mudler led the team with three hits in four at bats. Northwest Florida put pressure on the Commodores all afternoon as the Raiders swiped five bags. Cayden Gaskin led the way with two steals.

 

The Raiders improved to 19-10-1 on the season and 4-3 in Panhandle Conference play. Northwest Florida will head over to Panama City tomorrow at 1:00 PM for a rematch vs. Gulf Coast.
