Baseball Extends Winning Streak to 10
NICEVILLE, Fla. - Early on in the game, the Raiders were struggling to find the barrel and looked sloppy in the field. Down 3-0 in the 4th inning, Scott Mudler woke up the Raider dugout with a single up the middle to cut the deficit to 3-2. The Raiders would go on to score in every inning after that, coming away with a 10-4 victory over Shelton State.
Ramsey David had another good outing for the Raiders as he threw 6 innings, giving up 4 hits, 2 earned runs, and collecting 4 strikeouts. Wilson Perkins threw the 7th and 8th inning, recording 2 strikeouts, and Gavin Black shut the door in the ninth with a strikeout.
The Raiders collected 14 hits today with Kendrey Maduro leading the way with 3 hits, one of them a solo shot in the 6th inning. Blake Cavill also hit a solo home run in the 8th inning. Scott Mudler had a multi-hit game and collected 4 RBIs. Alex Urban and Paul Winland each had 2 hits a piece.
Northwest Florida improves to 14-6-1 on the year and will look to sweep the Shelton State Bucs tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
