NORTH PORT, Fla. - In the bottom of the 9th with the score at 0-0, bases loaded and 2 outs, Gavin Black fired a fastball to 8-hole hitter Geremy Garcia, who turned on one down the left field line. Third basemen Colby Jones was in the right place at the right time and was able to send the game into extras.
In the 10th inning and a runner on 2nd with no outs, Cade Sadler was able to move Alex Urban over to 3rd to help Matt Gonzalez drive in the lone RBI on the night for the Raiders. A single in the bottom of the tenth inning helped Miami-Dade battle to tie the game at 1 before the teams decided to end the game in a tie due to games being scheduled early the next morning. Alex Urban led Northwest Florida State Raiders with two hits in three at bats.
