Madden tosses shutout in 10-0 win over Motlow

Jake Madden threw a shutout to lead Northwest Florida past Motlow State College 10-0 on Saturday.

The Raiders scored three runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by NWF was led by Blake Cavill and Cade Easterbrook, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Madden earned the victory on the mound for Northwest Florida. The freshman went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out five.

Jake Gulley started the game for Motlow State. The pitcher surrendered five runs on four hits over two and a third innings, striking out three. Ross Pendergrass and Chase Ghormley entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

The Raiders racked up nine hits in the game. Brant Smith, Dalton McNamara, and Austin Kelly all managed multiple hits for NWF.
